I recieved this book after my mother passed away. It was and continues to be very comforting to me. I gave it to my sister-in-law to read after my mother-in-law passed away. The way the book reads in short passages, makes even those who are not religious to understand what Heaven is all about. I would recommend to anyone seeking to find out about Heaven. It has now become my standard gift when someone looses a loved one.

I thought this was an excellent program beacause of the hymn selection and the quotations from various theologians and writers. Also, the quotes from children were especially touching.

The hymn, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" is not often heard these days. It is heartbreakingly beautiful and this arrangement was especially so.

For all those who love the old hymns and the old faith it is a must.

I have enjoyed the amazing Gaither's gospel music on television channels for many years and it is a great family tradition and worship. The voices of the Home Coming group blend in so well that the music hall is filled with inspiration and love rendered in praising the lord. It is a music ministry of faith, hope, peace and harmony.

Some of my favorite songs from this DVD are; "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," "One Day" and "Canaan land is Just in Sight." This performance includes the works of; Amber Thompson, Buddy Greene, Stephen Hill, Tanya Goodman Sykes, Squire Parsons, Bobbie Mason, Woody Wright, Janet Paschal and the gospel family of Bill and Gloria Gaither.

"Me Grimlock no bozo, me KING!"

This Transformers graphic novel was phenomenal! Since I played the War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron games and watched the Prime TV show, I wanted to know the story that bridges the gap between them. Transformers Prime: Rage of the Dinobots is that story! Grimlock and his team of Dinobots, along with Ultra Magnus, do their best to stem the tide of destruction on a barren Cybertron after the Exodus. This is the story Transformers fans everywhere have been waiting for and I'm so glad my mom got it for me!

Dynobots are awesome me...

The Dinobots are an awesome Autobot team but this story could have been stronger. Gridlock, Slag, Sludge, Swoop, and Snarl are an expert special forces team and deserve a comic series all their own. While this isn't the incredible tale you'd want from them; it is an enjoyable story. It was a fun read but I'm still waiting for the ultimate Dinobot adventure.

Authoritive? It is a mix of self evidence, wordiness and misconceptions

If you are into luxury, luxury branding, luxury advertising, social media and/or high end online marketing it is, judged by the 100 first pages, really not worth the time or effort.

I can quote another review: "I personally left the book for good when the theoretical shopping of an oriental princess was described. She was seeking online information before her brick and mortar shopping trip to Europe. She could not find relevant information on sizes, colors et cetera in ordinary e-channels like company sites, "Vogue" ([...] instead, perhaps?), but was thrilled by Christian Lacroix' La Redoute collection and would shop from there on the Europe trip (!). - Does this author even know what La Redoute is? A mail order giant, by their styles judged serving everything from the working class to upper middle classes ...

All in all the book is far too wordy (why mention f.ex. World of Warcraft?) and might serve as an introduction to web presence for online analphabets (especially those who think e-luxury is a self-contradiction). And these are many, even among scholars scrutinizing the Internet. For younger people professionally already into social media et cetera it is not much more than a waste of time."

Deluxe look at how the web sells luxury

How do you market luxury items, which by definition are exclusive, on the internet, which by definition is accessible to the masses? This is the conundrum facing the luxury products industry, explains high-end marketing strategist Uch� Okonkwo, and most deluxe brands have failed to find a solution - so far. Prada didn't even have a website until 2007. Today, countless blogs, forums and websites are dedicated to exchanging information that once belonged exclusively to the elite. For instance, in 2009, online "fashionistas" saw Madonna's Louis Vuitton ad campaign months before the images appeared in Vogue. Thousands of savvy observers congregated on the web, talked about the ads, pronounced judgment and moved on to the next big thing. Okonkwo explores how the web has revolutionized the way people perceive, view and purchase luxury goods. She explains why the industry must do a better job of responding to and participating in the digital world. Her exposition is thorough, solid and relevant, with abundant helpful pictures, though wordiness and repetition somewhat impede smooth sailing. Still, getAbstract believes it is a landmark resource for the luxury sector and of interest to anyone in e-commerce.

Published in 2010, it takes into consideration the latest Web technologies available, the social networking phenomenon, the latest innovation in online marketing, the rise of the developing countries as consumers of luxury goods, and the dramatic changes in customer behaviors resulting from the current recession. A study of the mental workings of some great mathematicians

This is a short study of how creative thought works. Hadamard, a world-class mathematician best known for his proof of the prime number theorem in 1896, wrote this in the 40's, basing it on correspondence with many of the great living mathematicians of his time. The actual questions he posed are preserved in an appendix.
Most of his respondents were mathematicians (and he limited his correspondence to the best minds in the field), but he did get information from several other fields, and cites data about physicists (a letter from Einstein forms another appendix), chemists, physiologists, metaphysicians, and so on. What he is trying to examine is a slippery subject, perhaps best explained by a quote. Here is a discussion of Sidgwick, an economist: "His reasonings on economic questions were almost always accompanied by images, and the images were often curiously arbitrary and sometimes almost undecipherably symbolic. For example, it took him a long time to discover that an odd symbolic image which accompanied the word 'value' was a faint, partial image of a man putting something on a scale."
Hadamard gives his own mental images that accompany his following through the steps of Euclid's famous proof of the infinitude of primes. I won't reproduce that here for space reasons, but the contrast with Sidgwick's--and with other reports of mental activity--is fascinating. Many other examples are given, from Mozart to Polya to Galton to Poincare. Hadamard makes it clear that language and thought are not the same thing, contrary to a commonly expressed view among linguists. He cites Max Muller's comments equating thought and language, and acknowledges that for Muller it may be so, but convincingly demonstrates, by quoting numerous other mathematicians, that it is not true for everyone. The further conclusion, that the process of creative thought, while following similar patterns in similar discipline, can vary dramatically, is as far as Hadamard can go with the data he has.
One other note: this book was originally titled "The Psychology of Invention in the Mathematical Field" and is available under that title from Amazon, published by Dover Books. It's not immediately clear from the Amazon page that this is so. The Dover edition is substantially cheaper.

Jacques Hadamard, a prominent mathematician, wrote this psychology text over 50 years ago, after having done his best work 50 years prior. Although in some ways dated, both in content and in writing style, the book provides an interesting examination of the role of the conscious and subconscious in solving a problem, particularly the process of incubation and (seemingly) sudden inspiration. He brings up the roles intuition and logic play in the way various mathematicians go about their business. Hadamard also examines the influence of aesthetics in not just choosing a problem, but in solving it. He studies the choice of research direction, with the interesting comment that Hadamard himself avoided areas of research where there was already a great deal of activity.
The book is short enough that if the subject interests you, it is worth your time.

Not only is this book fascinating, it's the only one of it's kind. The book has also proved very useful to me in life. As a graduate student I used Poincar�'s implicit `advice' (described in the book) in the following way. In electrodynamics we had a long problem sheet to hand in every two weeks. I started by writing down answers to all problems that I knew. Then, I thought about the next-easiest problem each day walking twice to and from the University (about 1 1/2 hours altogether). When the answer came I wrote it down and iterated the process. Before the end of two weeks most of the problems (from Jackson) had been solved. Poincari's advice is very good about giving the unconscious a chance to work. Phooey and double phooey on the silly, uncreative skinner-box types and other behaviorists who don't recognize the unconscious as the source of creativity!
